Roger Narboni lecture at the “Congrès Mondial de la Nature” in Marseille – 11 september 2021

At the “Congrès Mondial de la Nature” held in Marseille from 4th to 11th september 2021, a college lecture series on light pollution called « Les rendez-vous étoilés » were organised by the OFB (French Office of biodiversity) et Cerema (Expert of environemental risks, mobility and Urban and community planning).

Roger Narboni, lighting designer and CEO of CONCEPTO, participated the 11th of september in a round-table discussion and a lecture on the challenge of night lighting.

He reminded that CONCEPTO is concerned by the impact of artificial lighting on the environment, night biodiversity or dark sky since 2010, specially thanks to studies’ methodology of dark infrastructures. More than fifteen of them realised by Concepto in France and abroad were carried out as part Lighting Master Plan (Cities of Rennes, Lorient, Annecy, Fribourg (Switzerland), Urban Campus of Paris Saclay, Archeologic site of AlUla (Saoudi Arabia), etc.).
